I love when I get to see my couples after their weddings, but especially when it’s because their family has grown! Over two years ago I shot Melissa + John‘s wedding portraits on the Bronx River Pathway. We returned to shoot their daughter’s, Isabella’s, Bronx River first birthday portraits at the same exact spot.
The 2016 wedding season is done! Oh hallelujah! I love weddings, but it is nice to have a little bit of a break to regroup and recoup. I finished editing all of my engagement sessions right before Thanksgiving. It was wonderful to have that all done and just be able to enjoy time with family and friends. Ben and I did the whirlwind tour of visiting his family and my family in three days. (I got to hold my niece Olivia pretty much all of Thanksgiving!) It was so good to see everybody : ) We’ve already decorated the new apartment for Christmas. Although I wasn’t really in the mood to decorate because we just unpacked so much. But we finally have a real size Christmas tree since we have room now!
You know how you see styled shoots on blogs or magazines and they look amazing, but you think who really has events like that? Well our friend Christine had one of those events by celebrating her 30th with a Fishkill Farms birthday. And our friend Kate from Kate & Co Events styled it!
They traveled from Boston and we met in the middle at Walnut Beach in Silver Sands State Park. This place is one of my new favorite places to shoot because there are so many different areas in one little location. And if the location wasn’t enough, Debbie + Hanson are the cutest, most comfortable couple : )
