Courtney + Cory’s family and friends came from Washington D.C. and Louisville, Kentucky for a fun weekend to celebrate their New York City Central Park elopement.I met up with Courtney + Cory at Trump International Hotel and then we continued into Central Park for some portraits before their ceremony.
September was really stuffed full, but it was a lot of fun! Ben and I had a couple day get away in Cape May, NJ. It was really a great time to be unplugged from the business/life and just hang out on the beach together. I got to catch up with a good amount of friends and Face Time with my best friend, Jess, and her cute little girl, Lucy. My parents visited for a couple of days and we got lost in Central Park, toured the 9/11 Museum, ate dinner along the Hudson River, showed them our church and visited Stone Barns. We also met our newest niece, Olivia, who fell right asleep in Ben’s arms and looked so peaceful. Finally I filled our apartment with as many of my favorite flowers, Zinnias, as possible since they were in bloom!
One of the many things that I love about where we live is how close we are to New York City without actually living there. We’re just 20 minutes from NYC and have found so many unique things to do and places to go. This summer our friend introduced us to the NYC Jazz Age Lawn Party.
I met Janelle when she first began attending our church, Awaken. She had recently graduated from college and moved to New York from Lancaster, PA for a job at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital. About a year later we started hearing about this boy that her hairdresser from home had set her up with. And before we knew it Tyler was visiting every couple of weekends, coming to Awaken with Janelle and helping us teardown after church.
