These two are so adorable together and after dating for 10 years, getting their dog Rocco and buying a house they made it official. Although, if you would ask their families they were already apart of each others families. Meriel just gets to finally call herself Mrs. Inglima : )
I started the day off with James and his groomsmen at their house.
James carried his Grandfather’s police badge and wore pins from his uniform.
Meriel surprised James with a pretty sweet watch. I love the “See you at 3” engraving.
Rocco wanted to be a part of the group so badly : )
Meriel got ready with all of her bridesmaids at her childhood home.
One of the first diy details – Meriel put together all of these cute invitations.
James surprised Meriel with a beautiful pair of pearl earrings.
Oh my gosh I’m in love with this cute diy ring box! I so love anchors!
And the inside of the ring box was just as cute inside! Plus check out Meriel’s amazing dress.
Meriel was so excited to finally by Mrs. Inglima, it was so cute!
Are you ready for this diy detail? Meriel even made her bridesmaids earrings and bracelets.
That moment when you look in the mirror and realize you’re a bride!
Loved the backdrop of these pink flowers for the girls’ portraits.
Do some of the bridesmaids and groomsmen look familiar? I shot James’ sister’s Up! themed wedding last year (Casey + Billy). I really love their family and it was so great getting to see them and work with them again.
Meriel had her grandparents’ pins from their lodge placed on her bouquet and wore her mother’s pearls.
Meriel’s parents walked her down the aisle.
I always love the end of the aisle kiss : )
During the ceremony and while we were driving to the reception the sky decided to let loose and it completely down poured. Like the skies were an ominous gray and it was hard to see out of the windshield. There was even a tornado warning. Amazingly when we were about 10 minutes away from Villa Borghese the rain let up and a beautiful rainbow appeared. It didn’t rain the rest of day and we were able to capture some really beautiful portraits on Villa Borghese‘s grounds.
I was in love with Meriel’s cathedral length veil. It was so delicate and beautiful. We had some fun with it : )
Such a fun bridal party!
This might be one of my most favorite images that I’ve taken ever! (Thanks to James’ sister, Jackie, for being an awesome veil fluffer!)
It was finally time to celebrate! And Meriel + James and their guests knew how to party : )
Meriel and her Mother put together the vases in front of the table. Meriel also put together all the votive candles that served as the guests’ place cards. Candles are such a great way to create an intimate and romantic atmosphere.
How cute is Meriel’s setup with the votives and cake stands? (I love cake stands!)
I told you there were a lot of diy wedding details!
It’s so cute when James just picks Meriel up and her feet dangle.
Meriel and some family members decorated all of the frames so that guests could put their pictures from the photo booth in them.
I’ve never seen this idea for the table numbers and I really wish I would have known about it for our wedding! It’ll be so neat for them to read one on each anniversary.
Meriel + James’ best man and maid of honor’s toasts were great!
Rocco made it on the cake!
The diy details just don’t seem to end! All throughout the day you could tell that Meriel + James had really put a lot of love and thought into everything. Which I really think just reflects the type of couple that they are: thoughtful, loving, fun and they really work so well together.
Eric from Vargas Productions really kept the party going all night. The dance floor was packed the whole time.
Villa Borghese knows how to take care of their guests and put on a show!
We took some time to do a couple of portraits before I left for the night.
Thanks Meriel + James for allowing me to capture such a special day for the two of you. I want to especially thank you for trusting me during the crazy moments. I loved seeing all of your ideas and hard work come to life. Everything was beautiful : ) I hope you enjoyed your Mediterranean cruise!
